So lucky.

So i have been thinking recently about my family and how lucky i am to not only have parents and sisters who love me tons, even when i am stubborn and at times a jerk, but Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles and Cousins and Great Uncles & Aunts and second (and third) cousins who i am close with and who have been my biggest supporters through this crazy adventure, as well as all of the other adventures i have been on in my somewhat short existance. This is not to mention all of my [wonderful, fabulous, amazing] friends who sustain me each day. I know there are many people who hide their cancer diagnosis from their families so they do not over burden them, or who simply do not have family members around to support them. I cannot even imagine walking this road alone. I guess all i can say is that i am lucky to have such wonderful, loving, absolutly hilarious people surrounding me, rooting for me, and helping me heal. I am especially lucky to have one notably brilliant cousin (who happens to be the youngest of us on my mom's side) who sends me little presents and letters and today, a poem that made me AND McKinley smile.
